This place was great, we popped in after seeing the reviews and are very glad we did. The food was amazing! My daughter loved her chicken hibachi dinner and my wife had a fantastic Dragon Roll. I ended up with the sushi dinner and everything was very good. We live about 20 minutes away but we all were in agreement we would drive over here to go back again. Definitely recommended!

The staff were so friendly and they brought our food surprisingly fast. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen and it was delicious! We also ordered a few rolls, which were all great, but the Double Tuna was something else. Everything tasted fresh and were presented beautifully. Kid friendly (we had 4 young kids with us). Very comparable to places I’ve been to in Seattle! Can’t wait to come back!

The first experience was a kind one, being seated for one, at a traditional feeling counter where others can sit alongside you. Great setup of the untensils. Simple yet elegant. I decided to order the Tonkotsu Ramen. The first sip of that incredibly delicious bone broth, was mesmerizing at the first taste. Quite a first impression to be made. I have to say; I got lost in the sauce for a good 10 minutes before starting to describe this delicious blend of flavors together appropriately. The pork belly is succulent and savory, providing a deliciously fatty bite of excellence. It’s well complemented by these ramen noodles cooked appropriately, infused with such a delicious bone broth. The egg halves appear to have been soaked in a sort of soy sauce mixture, possibly with rice vinegar; giving them a delicious distinct flavor that draws me in for another with its homestyle authenticity. Truly an experience to remember. The seawood providing a fishy counterpart to this porky dish, was quite nice as well. The fishcakes also provided a nice change of texture while providing that mild flavor; with a beautiful addition in appearance to the dish. The bean sprouts, bamboo shoots and pickled ginger; provided a much needed crunch as well as a freshness that may only be experienced in ramen. The green onions and fried garlic were a perfect garnish to complete such a simplistic yet intricate meal of perfection. Of course; perfection is not attainable in this life. Yet; you’ve come pretty damn close. I love spicy food so I opted for some chili oil; I was not disappointed. Whole roasted chilis mixed well with a full cup at my disposal, with a closable lid. As you can see from my bowl. I enjoyed my meal. Excellent service with smiling faces. Minari brought that good energy to me that kept the experience quite pleasant. She’s beautiful in more ways than one. By the way, thank you for recommendation. Sapporo on tap was a good choice. That was just a side note from me. Come eat here. You won’t be disappointed. A

It’s a nice sushi restaurant to go if you have a craving for nigiri and sashimi. They have an extensive list of rolls, but we are not fans of those rolls. We tend to stick to more traditional Japanese dishes. Their 13 piece sushi and sashimi combo was delicious with impressive presentation and freshness of fish. Saba nigiri was also good. Tempura combo had the right amount of crunchiness without being too oily. Service was excellent, ambience was casual and clean. We’re excited to have found a reliable Japanese restaurant in TC.

We got the Spicy Tan Tan Raman and Chicken Hibachi. It's more difficult to do reviews of food we have little experience with and that goes for this place. Having said that my Chicken Hibachi was very good. Quite a bit of food and they didn't skimp on the chicken. Almost too much chicken in comparison to the vegetables actually. The accompanying sauces were also good. I would have enjoyed a spicy option on the menu or some hot condiments on the table. These options may be available upon request but we didn't ask. I give the Chicken Hibachi a 4.5. The spouse got the Spicy Tan Tan Ramen. The bowl it arrived in was huge. It was hearty and tasty. A hint of spicy heat but even those who aren't big fans of spicy food shouldn't have an issue with it. They have convenient plastic carryout containers for the extra ramen diners will likely have to bring home. I did send the picture of the ramen to my kid who has a lot of experience with this type of food. He said he had never seen a pork based ramen use ground pork instead of sliced pork but it seemed to work for us. We give the ramen a 5. Prices are a bit high but the food seems to be of good quality and proportion. The inside was clean and the service was good. We likely will return from time to time. A final note. We didn't actually order from the lunch menu but that menu didn't seem to be a whole lot different than the stuff in the regular menu. 15 to 20 dollars for most things that are served as a combo. We were a little surprised the lunch menu didn't include smaller portions of non-combo type dishes...for example rice bowls with a small serving of teriyaki or hibachi chicken, smaller sized ramen options etc. This is more of observation then a critique.

We came in from Portland, which has a wide variety of sushi and ramen shops. I'm extremely surprised about this hidden gem. The service was great from the beginning. There was a wait due to the popularity, but gave us a call when a table opened. The host and sever were always attentive and accommodating. The food itself was perfect. I frequent ramen shops, constantly ordering the tonkotsu style of ramen. The one they offered was slightly different than normal, but it was fantastic. The broth tasted great, the pork belly melts in your mouth, noodles were perfect, and not too much broth. We decided to share some sashimi & nagiri through the chef's choice. The presentation and selection of sushi were brilliant. The taste was amazing as well. Some of the pieces we had not had before, and he explained in depth about each piece. Overall, I would say this is one of my top favorite sushi/ramen restaurants I've been to and only wish it was in Portland instead. I hope everyone gets the chance to try this hidden gem.
